Maxi Saver

Applying online is simple!
  • It will take up to 10 minutes
  • All you will need to supply is your contact details, such as address, phone number and an email address.
  • You will also need to supply the BSB and account number of your everyday banking account, which you would like to link your Maxi Saver Account.
  • You donít have to be an existing Bank of Melbourne customer to complete an online application
  • Ensure your printer is attached to your computer so you can print the application once youíve completed it online
Who can apply for a Bank of Melbourne  Maxi Saver
  • You must be a permanent Australian resident.
  • Either Single or Joint personal customers may apply.
  • You must be a personal customer (not Business customer)
  • For applicants under the age of 13, please ensure that a parent or legal guardian also completes the Authorised Users form
  • Business customers can apply online for an Business Access Saver Account

For New Customers - Tax File Number (TFN) requirements

  • You are not required to provide your TFN, however if you elect not to provide these details, Bank of Melbourne is required to collect withholding tax on the interest you earn.
  • Please note, if you do not have your TFN or exemption details with you, you can complete the application and provide your details at a later time, by simply calling 13 22 66 or visiting your nearest Bank of Melbourne branch.

For Existing customers

  • If you are an existing registered Internet & Phone Banking user, you may pre populate your application form with your details, by simply entering your Internet Banking log on details.
  • If your personal details have changed, please contact us on 13 22 66 or visit your nearest Bank of Melbourne branch to update your details.
Here's what to expect
  • If you leave your online application for more than 15 minutes it will expire and you will have to restart your application
  • Once your application has been successfully submitted, you’ll receive an automatic email (to the email address you have provided) containing your application number and instructions on how to check your application status.
  • Once your Maxi Saver Account has been opened, you will receive a confirmation email that will also outline next steps
  • If you are not linking the Maxi Saver Account to a Bank of Melbourne everyday banking account, then you will need to supply proof of ownership (see FAQs for further information)
